I wanted to take a moment to celebrate Medical Laboratory Professionals Week (April 24-30, 2022)! My amazing wife, Kimberly Zunker, has been in the field since before I knew her. She is always very excited for Lab Week, and I want to share a little of her joy. It is a wonderful career field but woefully understaffed and has tremendous opportunities for anyone interested in an extremely rewarding field. It somehow manages to consistently fly under the radar despite how amazing it is. If you are unaware of what the lab does, it’s SO much more than simply drawing blood. These professionals are involved in almost every facet of healthcare and deserve far more recognition for their amazing work! THANK YOU to all the “lab rats” out there!
